Batangas sits only 2 to 3 hours away from manila. This place is heaven for adventure-seekers out there trying to challenge there stamina and overcome their fear of heights.
Famous for its raw beaches, Batangas has also lots of wonderful mountains to climb to and one of these is Mt. Talamitam. Here are some shots from our trek.
We tried the steeper trail leading to the summit. Our climb took about 2 hours from 7 am to 9 am then we stayed on top for an hour before we went down to Layong Bato River for our side trip. Trekking down to the river was also a 2-hour walk.
(Forgive the unnecessary caption hehe)
The river is rocky but the water there is so refreshing. We were able to swim and jump from a cliff to fully enjoy the scene.
P.s. Be sure to bring your packed lunch during your visit so you can eat it by the river.
The trip takes only half of your day apn you can also stop at tagaytay while retuning to Manila or go visit other places in Batangas.
